In a recent blog post, LinkedIn announced they have made it easier to manage settings for users. LinkedIn wants to give users the clarity and control to the LinkedIn users. The “Privacy & Settings” has been streamlined which will allow users to manage their LinkedIn account easily. Nothing was removed in the process of making it easier, all the preferences are still there. The entire “Privacy & Settings” page has gone through a redesign, which shares quick details about an account at the top. Settings are categorized into three groups: Account, Privacy and Communications.
The account settings include items likes email addresses, password, language, and exporting your data. In the privacy section, you can cover all privacy and security settings related to what can be seen about you, which information can be used, and it also can be used for making account more secure. Lastly communications contain preferences for how LinkedIn and other members are able to contact you.
Linked also has a two-step verification for additional security and also adding a backup phone number so you do not get locked out of your account. These privacy settings will slowly roll out to all members in the coming next few weeks.
